A student who was slapped by a teacher was left with trauma to his eye and concussion after the horrific classroom attack.
The pupil still has partial hearing loss after he was hit 12 times by the Chinese teacher, named locally as Sun Yingchun. The teenage students were working in a self-study room, before Mr Yingchun stormed in and accused them of being too loud.
He reportedly saw the boy, only identified by his nickname Xiaochen, talking to a girl. The teacher is accused of dragging the boy from his seat at striking him around the face a dozen times.
Xiaochen, a senior student at Suyu High School, in north east China, ended up with a reddened, swollen face at was taken to Suqian Chinese Medicine Hospital.
Medical examination revealed that Xiaochen sustained a concussion, soft tissue injuries, burst vessels near the eye and partial temporary hearing loss.
His fellow students also reported that Mr Yingchun had hit a female student, before turning his temper on to Xiaochen.

The school has also arranged to cover the boy’s medical expenses, organise counselling for him and to help him transfer to another school. The matter was reported to police, but it is unclear if Mr Yingchun will face charges.
